PiS convention "Assembly of Polish Villages" was held in Wojnicz. It was attended by, among others, Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchcinski, Speaker of the Senate Stanisław Karczewski, Prime Minister Beata Szydło and PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński.
The convention began with laying flowers on the grave of three-time Polish Prime Minister Wincenty Witos in Wierzchoslawice, Lesser Poland.
The Congress was a summary of the government's year-long efforts to strengthen the Polish countryside, such as the decision to halt the sale of state-owned land, or the 500 plus program, which is particularly dedicated to the residents of small towns and villages.
- We are proud that we have introduced to the parliament many real farmers who serve the Polish countryside - said during the Assembly President Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
