Dear Mr. Starost,

           Thank you very much for the invitation to the commemorations of the 79th anniversary of the Katyn Massacre and the 9th anniversary of the Smolensk catastrophe. Although I am not able to participate in them, I would like to symbolically join my thoughts with all those gathered. 

            The crash near Smolensk was a great blow to the entire Polish nation. We lost in it We lost our President and ninety-five representatives of the ninety-five representatives of the Republic of Poland, who were going to the ceremonies in the Katyn Forest to pay to honor those murdered by the NKVD.

            Both The Katyn massacre and the Smolensk catastrophe deprived us of the Republic of Poland. We remember them today not without emotion. It is not easy for us for it is not easy for us to think without emotion about thousands of murdered Polish citizens - victims of the Stalinist regime. It is also difficult to remember without sorrow and grief those who devotedly served the Republic of Poland and in this service gave their lives in this service. Despite the passage of years, we still feel this great loss. One of them was the late Senator Stanisław Zając. Podkarpacki politician, parliamentarian for many years, a respected lawyer, as well as a man of sensitivity, who never remained indifferent to the needs of other people. people.

            All They were all united by their care for Poland and loyalty to patriotic ideals.
