Coal under control. In 2022, Podkarpacie received over PLN 760 million of the allowance

Since July 2022, they have been held regularly in the Prime Minister's office
meetings on the purchase and distribution of coal, attended by the Prime Minister, the head of the Prime Minister's Office Marek Kuchciński and representatives of State Treasury companies, the Ministry of Assets
State and other entities involved in the process. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki argues that the situation on the energy market is constantly monitored, and the government takes care of the stability of coal supplies.

So far in the province Podkarpackie, the total amount of PLN 761,533,020 (248,867 allowances) was transferred to municipalities for the payment of coal allowances.

The actions taken are focused on ensuring that all entities, including recipients
individual, had the necessary supplies of heating coal ensured. The situation is monitored on an ongoing basis, taking into account import and mining plans in relation to the demand for the raw material.

Thanks to the subsidy from the state budget, local governments can buy coal much below the market price from importers - up to PLN 1,500 per ton. Each household can buy 3 tons of coal per season
heating system, spreading this purchase into installments. Purchases can be divided, for example, into two tranches, one this year and the remaining one next year - the volume that will not be used by the end of 2022 is not lost.

Municipalities that participate in the distribution of coal purchase this raw material for PLN 1,500 per ton, and resell it for a maximum of PLN 2,000; PLN 500 is allocated to logistics, i.e. transport.

As part of the support for the supply of solid fuels to households, i.a. financial and temporary allowances for the use of lignite in households.
