The Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński met with the UK Ambassador Jonathan Knott. During the meeting politicians raised the issue of bilateral cooperation on the parliamentary level.

The Speaker encouraged the Ambassador to treat the British Polish community as a factor linking the two countries.

He also stressed the importance of the presence of NATO troops in Poland in the context of international and regional security.

An important point of discussion was the current situation in the European Union and the search for directions for development. The interlocutors agreed that by strengthening the role of national parliaments in the decision-making process the democratic character of the organization would be enhanced.
