The government is proposing a Solidarity Shield freezing electricity prices for households in 2023 at the 2022 level to consume 2,000 kWh per year. Government and local administrations are obliged to reduce electricity consumption by 10 percent, the government said. - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Thursday. The solidarity shield is intended to help get through this very difficult period; it is supposed to protect Poles from sharp price increases of 3-4 times. For households with disabled people, it will be 2,600 kWh. Likewise for families with three or more children.
