In the introduction to the first issue of "Zeszyty" the president Jaros³aw Kaczyñski stressed that the new publishing house is being created "at the moment when Poland is approaching a political breakthrough". According to Kaczyñski, the task of the new publication is "reflection addressed to the Law and Justice circles".
The editor of the magazine is Law and Justice MP Włodzimierz Bernacki - a scientist with a PhD degree in humanities. The editorial board includes among others Marek Kuchciński, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, and Prof. Zdzisław Krasnodębski.
After 23 years of regaining independence, we have to conclude that the construction of a free, just, prosperous and solidary Republic is still facing obstacles. - Jarosław Kaczyński assessed. He argues that in order to overcome these obstacles, "we must once again make an effort on the scale of 1980.
The "Political Notebooks" will present the political program of PiS and the party's achievements.
In the first issue of "Zeszyty" Piotr Naimski, a member of the Law and Justice party, writes about independence and geopolitics, while Krzysztof Szczerski writes about "Sovereignty in Europe and European sovereignty" and Ryszard Legutko, an MEP, discusses "What do we defend in Europe? In turn, sociologist Zdzisław Krasnodębski wrote about "Sovereignty from Berlin's perspective.
In the publication one can also find a text by Kazimierz Ujazdowski "Constitution, institutions, subjectivity", Paweł Szałamacha on repolonization of banks, Elżbieta Kruk - on freedom of media in Poland on the example of TV Trwam. You can also read a report from a September march "Wake up Poland" and a summary of the Law and Justice Law program "Atlernatywa".
The first issue of "Political Notebooks" was presented on Thursday, November 25th in the Polish Parliament.
