As of September 1, changes to the Labor Code will make it more difficult to illegally employ workers

As of September 1, changes to the Labor Code come into effect that make it more difficult to illegally hire workers.

Prac employer and every working person will have to have a written contract or written confirmation of its terms and conditions, which will be unambiguous to employment inspection services. Every new employee must be familiarized with the work regulations before being allowed to work.

The illegal employment procedure violates labor rights, lowers workers' wages, and destroys state finances. The new legislation will curb the gray area of employment.

According to information from the PIP, in 2014 "illegal employment, consisting of assigning work without confirming in writing the type of contract and its terms, and failing to register the employed person for social insurance, was found in 18 percent of inspected entities.
