On January 29, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Przemyśl will host a ski competition for non-licensed persons of the Polish Ski Association. International Carpathian Cup in Alpine Skiing The patronage was taken by the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński and the Presidents of the Parliaments of the Visegrad Group countries. The competition is organized by the President of the City of Przemyśl in cooperation with the Polish Sejm, Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Marshal of Podkarpackie Voivodeship and the Eastern Institute.

Competitors from the Carpathian countries will compete in the giant slalom competition. Cups and material prizes are foreseen for the winners in particular age categories. On the initiative of the Speaker of the Sejm, after the competition, the National Museum of the Przemysl Region will host a discussion meeting within the framework of the "Carpathian Europe" cycle - devoted to the current problems of regional cooperation.

Skiing competition in Przemysl will initiate an international cycle of competitions
in downhill skiing for the Carpathian Cup organized in different countries. The Speaker of the Sejm and the Speaker of the Senate are planning - with the organizational support of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism - to organize another competition of this cycle in February and March this year. The competition will also be another element of parliamentary cooperation within the framework of the Visegrad Group and Carpathian Europe.
