In addition to countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, Ukraine, or the Balkan states and Romania and Bulgaria cooperate with us," he said.

The Carpathians are an extraordinary region, unique especially in terms of culture and nature, but also in social terms. - More than 20 million people live here, but if we calculate the human resource of the inhabitants of the Carpathian countries, we count more than 150 million people," Kuchcinski said. This is a strength that we should remember and act in such a way that we are treated as equals with equals, free with free throughout the European Union.

The specificity of cooperation is the multidimensionality of Carpathian Europe. Under one banner fall undertakings that are united by concern for the preservation of multiculturalism, biodiversity, as well as (concern for) sustainable development. Poland is involved in environmental projects, scientific initiatives, ventures with a social and economic dimension, as well as political cooperation.

The Speaker argued for consistency in foreign policy among Central and Eastern European countries, as evidenced by the good cooperation within the Tri-Mountain or Visegrad Group. High hopes are also placed in the Carpathian countries. During the Forum, a historic agreement was signed between the clusters from the Danube and Vistula rivers: Przemyśl, Ružemberok, Truskavets, Sarospatak and Krynica.

Kuchcinski argued that Carpathian Europe is achieving positive results in areas such as infrastructure, economy, energy or environment. - From this comes the conviction that it is worth striving for the subjectivity of the entire region, I mean our part of Europe, in order to strengthen its importance in European politics, but also to strengthen the sovereignty of our states. So that the interests of states are not disregarded in the international forum," he argued. He added that an example of the effectiveness of such measures is the ViaCarpatia road connection project.
