Under the leadership of Sejm Speaker Marek Kuchcinski on November 17, 18 and 19. 6 permanent Sejm committees elected chairmen and their deputies. The Sejm Speaker opened the inaugural sittings of the committees: Public Finance, Foreign Affairs, European Union Affairs, Rules of Procedure and Parliamentary Affairs, Parliamentary Ethics and Special Services.

According to Article 20 of the Rules of Procedure of the Sejm, the first meetings of the committees are opened by the Speaker of the Sejm or deputy speakers appointed by him. Then the committees select their presidencies, to which the representatives of the Sejm authorities hand over the chairmanship of the session.
