The Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Marek Kuchciński appointed as of October 10, 2017. Wiesław Łyszczek to the position of chief labour inspector. Earlier, his candidacy received a positive opinion from the Labour Protection Council and the Parliamentary Commission for State Control.
Until now, Łyszczek was the acting head of the Rzeszów district State Labour Inspectorate. The change in the position of GIP occurred due to the death of the previous head of PIP, Roman Giedroyc.
The Chief Labor Inspector reports to and is appointed by the Speaker of the Diet.
