Marek Kuchciński, Speaker of the Sejm, took part in the funeral ceremony of late Władysław Bukowski

On Saturday, November 21, the funeral ceremony of the late Mr. Władysław Bukowski, Chairman of the City Council of Przemyśl, was held. It began at 10.30 a.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary in the intention of the deceased. At 11 a.m., Holy Mass was celebrated at the Salesian Church in Przemyśl, after which the coffin with the body was taken to the Military Cemetery in Przemyśl. The funeral ceremony was attended by the parliamentarians headed by with Marek Kuchciński, Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of PolandThe ceremony was attended by the representatives of the local authorities, including the Marshal of Podkarpackie Voivodeship Władysław Ortyl, representatives of numerous cultural institutions, uniformed services, groups and associations from Podkarpackie and the residents of Przemyśl. A highlander band accompanied the late Władysław Bukowski on his last journey, as his family roots are in the Podhale region.

Władysław Bukowski was born on 20 January 1960. He was a graduate of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, the State East European University in Przemyśl and the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow. For 9 years he was a councillor of the City Council of Przemyśl and since 2014 the Chairman of the City Council. He has been associated with the Law and Justice party since 2002. He was a member of the Political Council of Law and Justice, Law and Justice Plenipotentiary in the Przemyśl Grodzki District and Director of the National Museum of the Przemysl Region. He passed away after a serious illness on the night of 18th to 19th November this year at the age of 55. He loved his great and small homeland.
