During the inaugural session of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of the seventh term, the deputies elected a new presidium of the lower chamber. Marek Kuchciński, who also held the position in the previous term, became one of the five deputy speakers. 455 deputies took part in the vote. The absolute majority was 228. 439 deputies voted for Marek Kuchcinski's candidacy.
