The representatives of the Bieszczady, Lesko and Sanok counties, the city and municipality of Zagórz, the communes: Czarna, Lutowiska, Baligród, Cisna, Olszanica, Solina, Tyrawa Wołoska, Komańcza, Bircza met in the starost's office in Ustrzyki Dolne. They crossed party lines and gave their support to the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński and assured that thanks to his work the Bieszczady have a chance for sustainable development.
Renata Szczepańska - The head of Cisna commune, who comes from the Civic Platform, argued that Marshal Kuchciński is exceptionally involved in the life of local communities, like in the case of the ski lift in Jasło. - Mr Kuchciński was the only one to lean over the problem, organizing various meetings - she said.
Szczepanska argued that Kuchciński was looking for legislative solutions to exclude forest land from forestry production, leaning against the protest of Bieszczady residents regarding tightening restrictions on forms of nature protection.
She also stressed that the actions of the Speaker of the Sejm were aimed at the development of Bieszczady, advertising the Carpathian brand and excluding social and economic marginalization of the region.
- What is being done with this outstanding statesman is neither worth listening nor watching. It is a perfidious political campaign, which is to destroy Bieszczady. His activities are valued by us, local government activists, and his voters. He is the only guarantor of the Programme for Bieszczady, thanks to him Bieszczady is guaranteed 400 million - said the head of Cisna.
