Carpathians connect. Proposal ą to open a tourist border crossing of Lyubnia - Volosate

Participants of the conference,in Muczny in the Bieszczady Mountains, came up with a proposal to open a tourist border crossing of Lubnia - Wolosate, where a visit was made. Returning, the conference participants were able to see up close the monument to the People of Freedom and Solidarity of the Bieszczady Mountains.

- We want to relaunch a great international tourist route, which would be opened seasonally, without permanent infrastructure that would upset the natural balance," stressed Marek Kuchcinski, the initiator of the conference.

It was the fifth meeting of the series "Events and people of the 19th and 20th centuries - Przemysl, the Przemysl Region
and Subcarpathia in the Europe of the Carpathians" organized by the Przemysl Cultural Societies.

STATEMENT/OPEN LETTER

We, the participants of the "Europe of the Carpathians" meetings, support all activities supporting the development of cooperation in the Carpathians and learning about this most biologically, culturally and socially diverse macro-region of Europe. Therefore, we consider it advisable to open a tourist border crossing of Lyubnia - Volosate, which will launch a tourist route from Poland to Transcarpathia.

We believe that it will contribute to learning about the Bieszczady Mountains and the development of tourism in the Polish, Ukrainian and Romanian Carpathians. In addition, it will positively influence the local economy and strengthen social relations. The Carpathians connect!

We are also confident that the newly opened crossing will not negatively affect the state of the environment covered by forms of protection on both sides of the border, but will allow to appreciate the nature, culture and people of this region of Europe.
