On Saturday the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchci\u0144ski met with the residents of Nowy S\u0105cz and Sanok. During the meetings he emphasized that Law and Justice party attaches great importance to pro-family policy. Within 2.5 years the Law and Justice government introduced the Family 500+ program, free medicines for seniors, lowered retirement age, limited Sunday trade and increased the effectiveness of alimony collection. In addition, he carried out a reform of education, tax administration, began a fight against wild reprivatization. The Speaker reminded that a few months ago Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the national convention in Warsaw presented a program of actions changing Poland. Among the demands is a reduction in CIT for small businesses from 15 to 9 percent, which is the lowest level in the European Union, the introduction of a small ZUS calculated in proportion to income for companies with a monthly turnover of up to 2.5 minimum wages, a layette of 300 PLN at the beginning of the school year for each student starting primary and secondary school, a new fund for the construction of local roads worth at least PLN 5 billion, which means thousands of kilometers of renovated roads in villages, small towns, municipalities and counties, and the Accessibility+ program to eliminate barriers for the disabled (over PLN 20 billion over 8 years).<\/p>\n
Marek Kuchci\u0144ski stressed that Law and Justice will not lack determination in introducing changes. At the same time, he pointed out that he is aware that there are forces that are behind the fact that Poland is a hole state - to not pay taxes, to break laws and to undermine the position of our country.<\/p>\n
Referring to questions about the protest of the disabled in the Sejm, Speaker Kuchci\u0144ski, stressed that it is not true that they are not taken care of, and the assessment of whether the law was broken by the authorities belongs to the Constitutional Court. - This is a very difficult and sad matter - said the Speaker. - These people are used by politicians for pure political action - he assessed. He also added that there are 4.7 million disabled people in Poland and the issue should be approached systematically. - So far, for dozens of years since the times of the People's Republic of Poland, but also during the governments of our predecessors, the disabled have not been dealt with in a systemic way, they have been hidden in a drawer somewhere, sent away, turned a blind eye - Kuchci\u0144ski stressed.<\/p>\n
The event was held in the Municipal Cultural Center in Nowy Sacz. Apart from the residents of Nowy Sacz and Nowy Sacz, it was also attended by: J\u00f3zef Le\u015bniak MP, Wies\u0142aw Janczyk MP, Jan Duda MP, Ryszard Nowak - President of Nowy S\u0105cz, Jerzy Gwi\u017cd\u017c and Wojciech Piech - Vice Presidents of Nowy S\u0105cz, Janusz Kwiatkowski - President of the Nowy S\u0105cz City Council, Krzysztof G\u0142uc - one of the proposed PiS candidates for President of Nowy S\u0105cz, and Patryk Wicher - head of the municipal structures of Law and Justice.<\/p>\n
