Olga Johann always stood on the right side. She had great respect for her country and a big heart for people. She was a member of a committee in the Ministry of Education dealing with the problems of disabled youth. She also worked in Youth Helpline, was an expert in juvenile court, then a Law and Justice candidate for the Children's Rights Ombudsman. As a Warsaw councilor she fought for old tenement houses, land given up under the Bierut Decree, decommunization of streets, and for the return of old, pre-war names. \"We have to fight for historical truth\" - she said.<\/p>\n

From 2002 to 2006, she was Vice-Chairwoman of the Mazovian Regional Assembly. She was also the chairwoman of the National Audit Committee of Law and Justice.<\/p>\n

On December 13, 2016, on the 35th anniversary of the imposition of martial law in Poland - for outstanding contributions to the democratic changes in Poland, for achievements in professional and social work undertaken to the benefit of the country - the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda decorated Olga Johann with the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland.<\/p>\n
