The state of an epidemic gives us new prerogatives and imposes new responsibilities.  <\/li><li> Increased fines from 5,000 to 30,000 have been introduced, as well as mechanisms to track whether a person is in a place <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>A decision has been made to further suspend classes in nurseries, kindergartens, schools and educational institutions until Easter. <\/strong> <ul><li>Most schools have moved to remote learning. <\/li><li>Payment of child care benefits to parents of children under age 8 will be extended for another 14 days.     <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>We call for intergenerational solidarity:<\/strong> <ul><li>Let's take care of the elderly and disabled so that they are not left alone.     <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OTHER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The main focus of the government's efforts is prevention. So far, the following decisions have been made: <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>from <strong>Sunday, March 15<\/strong> we temporarily reinstate border control for the period <strong>10 days<\/strong>, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poles returning to the country must complete a 14-day home quarantine, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>banks and service establishments remain open<\/strong>, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>shopping malls have been restricted, but grocery stores, drugstores, pharmacies and laundromats remain open in the malls, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a ban on public gatherings was introduced <strong>over 50 people<\/strong>, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>restaurants, bars, and cafes will only be allowed to operate as take-out and delivery businesses.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Polish citizens who are currently staying can return to their country by land. Additionally, in cooperation with LOT Polish Airlines, we will conduct a special \"LOT home\" operation from selected locations around the world.  We expect an increase in the number of illnesses in the coming days. Without these decisions, the outbreak could get out of control. We cannot allow this to happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<strong>CORONAVIRUS -\n\t\t\tBACKGROUND<\/strong>\n\t\t<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\nis coronavirus?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>New\n\tSARS-Cov-2 coronavirus causes a disease called COVID-19. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>Disease\n\tusually presents with fever, cough, shortness of breath,\n\tmuscle aches, fatigue. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>The virus\n\tis transmitted by droplet infection. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>Most\n\tThe most vulnerable to developing severe disease and death are\n\tthe elderly, <br>immunocompromised with\n\tOther diseases, particularly chronic diseases.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How\nprotect yourself from coronavirus?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Frequent\n\tWash hands with soap and water. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>When\n\tCovering the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Vaccine\n\tis not yet available.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Controls\nborders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Since Sunday, March 15, the borders of our country are closed to foreigners for 10 days. All Polish citizens who are outside the borders can return to the country. <\/strong> <\/li><li><strong>With the safety of Poles in mind, a decision was made to restore temporary control at the borders:<\/strong> <\/li><li>Polish citizens after crossing the border will be examined and directed to a 14-day home quarantine. These individuals will be cared for by sanitary services. <\/li><li>We will maintain charters for Poles to return to their homeland. We have committed Polish Airlines to full readiness and cooperation with the services.   <\/li><li>The Polish border with Germany, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia will be crossed only in designated places.  <\/li><li>Inspections will be conducted at seaports and airports. <\/li><li>Both on the internal and external border (border crossings with Belarus, Russia and Ukraine) restrictions will be introduced for foreigners on the direction of entry into Poland.  <\/li><li>Mandatory quarantine does not apply: <ul><li>people from border areas who live in Poland but work every day in a neighbouring country and who cross the border regularly, <\/li><li>foreigners who live in a neighbouring country but work in Poland and cross the border regularly, <\/li><li>professional freight and passenger transportation drivers performing their duties.  <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>In the current situation, we cannot allow the borders to remain open to foreigners. We are aware that the virus has come to us from abroad.   <\/li><li>Prohibition does not apply: <ul><li>spouses of Polish citizens, <\/li><li>children of Polish citizens, <\/li><li>persons holding a Polish Charter, <\/li><li>persons who have the right of permanent or temporary residence in the Republic of Poland or a work permit, <\/li><li>diplomats, <\/li><li>aliens who operate a means of transportation used to transport goods.  <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The borders remain open for the movement of goods.   <\/li><li>International passenger air services and international rail services were suspended:  <\/li><li><strong>Intrastate air, rail and truck traffic remains unchanged. <\/strong> <\/li><li><strong>You will be able to leave Poland by wheel transport at border crossings. Restrictions on entry into the country.<\/strong> <\/li><li>People who work abroad and commute daily are excluded from the border closure. This applies both to Poles working abroad and foreigners working in Poland and commuting daily. <\/li><li>We are taking similar actions as countries in our region: Slovakia, Czech Republic, but also the USA or Israel. <\/li><li><strong>For all Polish citizens, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has set up a hotline for border crossings at: +48 22 523 8880. <\/strong> <\/li><li>Diplomatic posts are working on an emergency basis. Consular offices are available to our citizens abroad 24 hours a day. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<strong>TRANSPORTATION AND\n\t\t\tAIR TRAFFIC<\/strong>\n\t\t<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Introduced\n\trestrictions create very difficult situations, especially for\n\tpeople who are outside the borders. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>For\n\t<strong>all\n\tcitizens of the Republic of Poland, who, due to distance, are not able to\n\tcross the Polish border by road, we create 3\n\tpossibility of returning to Poland by air. <\/strong>\n\t\n\t<\/li><li><strong>Implementation\n\tThe charter flights planned so far<\/strong>\n\t<\/li><li>Despite\n\tDespite the suspension of international flights, all\n\tAll charter planes with Polish citizens, which had\n\thad previously scheduled flights. Together with them they will be able to land in\n\tthe territory of our country will also be able to land with them\n\tforeigners, that is:\n\t<ul><li>spouses\n\t\tPolish citizens,\n\t\t<\/li><li>children\n\t\tPolish citizens,\n\t\t<\/li><li>persons\n\t\tholders of the Card of the Pole,\n\t\t<\/li><li>persons\n\t\thaving the right of permanent or temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Poland or\n\t\twork permit.\n\t<\/li><\/ul>\n\t<\/li><li>Flights\n\tCharter flights that have already been pre-booked, <strong>will be held\n\twill go off without a hitch. <\/strong>\n\t\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Special\nLOT Charters - Operation \"LOT Home\"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Polish\n\tLOT Polish Airlines will organize special charter flights to various\n\tregions of the world to take our citizens home. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>All\n\tPoles who will want to return to Poland, as well as\n\teligible foreigners who have permanent ties with Poland\n\tPoland will be able to purchase their flight tickets via\n\tLOT's online platform. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>Scheduled\n\tadditional flights will take place including: \n\t\n\t<ul><li>z\n\t\tUnited Kingdom,\n\t\t<\/li><li>z\n\t\tIreland,\n\t\t<\/li><li>z\n\t\tCyprus,\n\t\t<\/li><li>z\n\t\tMalta,\n\t\t<\/li><li>from\n\t\tUnited States of America.\n\t<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flights\nas required <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Persons\n\tThose located in places to which LOT does not organize special\n\tspecial flights, will be able to submit a request for\n\tcreation of such a flight. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>Analyzed\n\tThe number of people in need from a given country will be analyzed on an ongoing basis, as well as\n\tpossibilities to organize a flight. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li><strong>The demand\n\tIt will be possible to report the demand by means of a specially prepared\n\tLOT's \"Lot to Home\" shopping platform. <\/strong>\n\t\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flat rate\nprices<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For\n\treturn to Poland on special flights organized by LOT Polish Airlines\n\ttravelers will pay a flat, uniform rate. Its\n\tThe amount depends on the direction from which\n\tdirection of the flight. The remaining funds will be paid by the Polish government.\n\t<\/li><li><strong>Travel\n\twithin the country for non-quarantined persons who are healthy,\n\tis unhindered: rail, air, and truck traffic\n\tremains unchanged.<\/strong>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transport\npassengers to their place of residence <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The biggest\n\tnational carriers: PKP Intercity railroads and Polonus buses join the LOT Home campaign.\n\tPolonus, join the LOT Home campaign. This is to enable\n\tpassengers who land at Warsaw Chopin Airport\n\tsafe travel to selected cities throughout the Poland. &nbsp;<\/strong>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PKP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PKP\n\tIntercity launches 4 special trains from Chopin airport in\n\tWarsaw for those arriving to Poland by charter planes\n\torganized by LOT Polish Airlines. \n\t\n<\/li><li>Trains\n\twill depart in 4 directions: to Przemy\u015bl, Bielsko-Bia\u0142a, Wroc\u0142aw and\n\tKo\u0142obrzeg. The trains will stop at designated intermediate stations\n\tintermediate stations, which will make it easier for passengers to get to their\n\thomes. \n\t\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Polonus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>From\n\t20.03.2020 r. Polonus buses help passengers who\n\tlanded at Chopin Airport in reaching their homes.\n\tInvolved dozens of white and red,\n\tcomfortable Polonus coaches.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All\n\ttravelers who will need additional transportation to\n\ttheir place of residence outside Warsaw, <strong>will be\n\ttransported free of charge <\/strong>to\n\tto selected cities on board Polonus coaches. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>To\n\tIn order to take advantage of the additional transport options\n\tarrival go to a specially marked area with the listed\n\tcities. Coordinators will direct passengers to specific\n\tcoaches.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flights\ndomestic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>By decision of\n\tPrime Minister M. Morawiecki on 16.03, intrastate flights were suspended.\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<strong>STORES,\n\t\t\t\tGASTRONOMY<\/strong>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\n\t<\/li><li><strong>From\n\t14 March until further notice there will be limited activity in shopping malls\n\tshopping malls in which <\/strong><strong>will remain\n\tAll grocery stores will remain open<\/strong><strong>,\n\tpharmacies, drugstores and laundries.<\/strong>\n\t<\/li><li>After\n\t14 days, the Ministry of Health will analyze the possibility of repealing the regulation in\n\tif the situation improves.\n\t<\/li><li>Posted\n\tdecision was made to temporarily <strong>suspension of\n\toperations of other stores <br>in the galleries,<\/strong>\n\tso as not to generate additional traffic at these locations. \n\t\n\t<\/li><li>W\n\tmalls stores will be closed:\n\t<ul><li>products\n\t\ttextiles, clothing, \n\t\t\n\t\t<\/li><li>footwear\n\t\tand leather products, \n\t\t\n\t\t<\/li><li>furniture\n\t\tand lighting equipment, \n\t\t\n\t\t<\/li><li>equipment\n\t\tradio and television equipment and household appliances, \n\t\t\n\t\t<\/li><li>articles\n\t\tstationery and bookstore items;\n\t\t<\/li><li>and\n\t\tall entertainment and catering establishments.\n\t\tcatering.\n\t<\/li><\/ul>\n\t<\/li><li><strong>Outside of\n\tShopping malls, the restriction does not apply:<\/strong>\n\t<ul><li>all\n\t\tstores, banks, and services -
