The President signed a governmental amendment to the act, according to which all children and teenagers up to 18 years old will be entitled to the 500 plus benefit. Applications for the benefit can be submitted from 1 July. The new program will cover 6.8 million children.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extending the \"Family 500 plus\" program also to the first and only child is one of the projects included in the so-called \"new five\" of the Law and Justice party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The justification to the Act reads that family policy is one of the most important areas of activity of the current Government. The Family 500 plus program, which entered into force on April 1, 2016, is the first program since the political transformation that so clearly emphasizes the need for investment in the family, which provides real support for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 500 plus family has completely changed the outlook on state support for families and has become a reference point in the debate on family policy. Thanks to the program and billions in cash transfers to families, we have opened development prospects for people who were previously marginalized. We have restored their dignity. Support for families through family policy instruments is an investment in human capital, on which the condition of the state to a large extent depends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Programs such as this one build a chance for development of our homeland, so I am very glad that this program is gaining acceptance of the entire opposition,\" said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
