A Christmas wafer meeting between Sejm Speaker Marek Kuchcinski and employees of the Chancellery was held at the Sejm on Tuesday. The Sejm Speaker expressed gratitude for the work and efforts of all employees in the past year. - This is work in the most important of the institutions of the Polish state, which serves deputies representing the entire nation," said Marek Kuchcinski, while wishing all those gathered all the best for Christmas and success in the New Year. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki and head of the Sejm Chancellery Agnieszka Kaczmarska and her deputies.

Minister Kaczmarska stressed that the traditional chancellery Christmas wafer meeting is an important moment for respite, reflection and conversation. - 2018 was full of important events: the celebration of the 550th anniversary of the Republic's parliamentarism and the National Assembly at the Royal Castle, the NATO parliamentary session and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of independence. All of this required additional commitment from the employees of the Chancellery. I would like to thank you and wish that the coming year will be happy for all of us and that Christmas will pass in a joyful, peaceful and full of family warmth atmosphere," said Agnieszka Kaczmarska.

The Chaplain of Parliamentarians, Rev. Piotr Burgoński, read a passage of Scripture about the Nativity of Christ and blessed the wafers, which were later shared by the participants of the meeting. The chaplain wished the attendees that, while celebrating the Nativity of Christ, they should not forget that God loves us and wants us to be happy. - God is love, Love is born," said Fr. Piotr Burgoński.
