The 9th sitting of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland will continue on Monday and Tuesday

The Sejm Bureau, having consulted the Senior Convention, has made changes to the schedule of sittings of the House. The 9th sitting will continue on April 6 and 7 (Monday-Tuesday).

The meeting is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will present information on epidemiological situation related to the spread of coronavirus in Poland. The item also provides for 5-minute statements on behalf of the clubs and circle.

According to the agenda item schedule as presented, votes are scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. on, among other things, a contested item that deals with voting by mail, along with a self-amendment to that bill.

The draft law authored by the Law and Justice Club on special rules of conducting voting in the elections for the President of the Republic of Poland extends the existing provisions by allowing all seniors over 60 and persons under quarantine to vote by mail.

The self-amendment to the aforementioned bill submitted on Friday by the Law and Justice Club assumes that in The 2020 presidential election will be a vote by mail only. The proposed changes would apply to both the first round scheduled for May 10 and a possible second round.

This is the safest way to conduct elections because it does not require you to come to the polling places in person.
