On the 30th anniversary of the death of Father Franciszek Blachnicki, which falls in February 2017, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland pays tribute to this great patriot, soldier, clergyman and social activist.
Father Franciszek Blachnicki devoted his whole life to the good of his homeland. He fought as a soldier in the September Campaign, was active in the underground movement, was imprisoned in a concentration camp and persecuted by the communist security services. His social activity was based on universal values, shaping moral attitudes of the nation. As the founder of the Light-Life Movement he educated young people and adults in the spirit of patriotism, morality and responsibility.
The celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the death of Father Franciszek Blachnicki were held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
The Sejm of the Republic of Poland - appreciating the contribution of Father Franciszek Blachnicki to the Polish Nation and his contribution to the moral development of many generations - pays tribute to his memory.
