Rzeszów hosts the Europe-Ukraine Forum

The upcoming Europe-Ukraine forum will be held on January 22-24, 2017 in Rzeszow. During the Economic Forum in Krynica, Subcarpathian Voivodeship Marshal Wladyslaw Ortyl and Chairman of the Program Council of the Eastern Studies Institute Zygmunt Berdychowski signed an agreement to this effect.

- This is the tenth edition of the forum, previous ones were organized in Lodz or Kiev, among others," said Sejm Speaker Marek Kuchcinski. He argued that Rzeszow is the right place for this initiative. This is because not only is it the capital of the province, but it is located on the route of various directions and roads.

Marshal Ortyl expressed hope for increasingly better cooperation between Podkarpackie and Ukraine.
- Such a forum will certainly be a place exchanges experience, contacts between Ukrainian partners and the rest of Europe, as well as a venue for talks on the future of relations between the European Union and Ukraine," he said. He also mentioned a number of agreements that the province has signed with Lviv offices, as well as a protocol to the partnership agreement signed during the forum in Lviv.

The Europe-Ukraine Forum is one of the most important conferences organized for years by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies as part of the agenda of the Economic Forum.

The mission of the Forum is to build a friendly climate for the development of cooperation between the countries of the European Union and their neighbors. Projects implemented at various levels serve to develop political, economic, cultural and scientific contacts between the countries of the region. One of the most important topics of the Forum is also international security, especially important due to Russian aggression against Ukraine.
