As part of the Government's Local Investment Fund in Poland, mountain municipalities have received additional funding to increase their tourism potential, maintain jobs and support residents:

• 202 mountain communities from 6 provinces received support to prevent the effects of the pandemic.
• In Podkarpacie 27 municipalities received PLN 66,302,720.

• This appropriation is intended to finance tourist and related infrastructure, including: hiking trails, parking lots, roads, sidewalks, open-air museums, museums, water treatment plants, etc.   
• So far, under this Fund (RFIL - COVID-19 Fund) more than 10 billion PLN has been transferred to local governments, including almost 800 million PLN to the Podkarpacie region.      

            Below is a list of mountain municipalities in Podkarpacie that have received support:                                     

1. Cisna commune, Lesko district - PLN 1,029,724.00 for: Redevelopment of water treatment plant with RES and water supply network.

• Besko Commune, Sanocki County - PLN 1,510,087.52: Construction of a footbridge serving tourists on foot, by bicycle and by car, on the Wisłok River in Besko.

• Commune of Dębowiec, Jasielsk county - PLN 1,765,025.57: Construction of tourism and recreation infrastructure, including construction of a lookout tower, modernization of the sewage treatment plant, construction of parking spaces, sidewalks, construction of bike paths, gazebo, road reconstruction.

• Municipality of Baligród, Lesko County - PLN 750,500.00. Construction of sidewalks on provincial road no. 893.

• Commune of Iwonicz-Zdrój, district Iwonicz-Zdrój - PLN 2,583,750.00. Modernization and reconstruction of pedestrian and pedestrian-entrance paths and a square together with the construction of lighting and elements of small architecture along Jana Pawła II Avenue and Oczki Square in Iwonicz-Zdrój. 

• Gmina Krempna, Jasielsk county, PLN 363,851.06. Modernization of the School Youth Hostel in Grab.

• Bircza Commune, Przemysl County, PLN 1,212,630.00. Revitalization of the historic park located by the Humnicki Palace in Bircza. The task will cover the renovation of flora, construction of park alleys and modern lighting, construction of a playground and installation of elements of small architecture. As part of the task, an access road will also be reconstructed

• Bukowsko Commune, Sanocki County - PLN 875,244.23. Construction of an approx. 5 km trunk line enabling construction of a sewer network for 5 localities.

• Municipality of Solina, Lesko County - PLN 5,865,000.00. Reconstruction and extension of the sewage treatment plant in Wołkowyja along with the purchase of a sewage septic tanker.

• Municipality of Dukla, Krosno County - PLN 3,197,196.00. Improving conditions for the functioning and development of generally available tourist infrastructure through reconstruction of the market square, reconstruction of roads surrounding the market, modernization of lighting and installation of electrical system in anteroom basements. Work is planned on securing the cellars, which will be made available to tourists, as well as modernizing the technical infrastructure located under the market square.

• Municipality of Sanok, Sanok county - PLN 8,000,000.00. Development of tourist infrastructure in the area of bicycle traffic. Planned: construction of a pedestrian and bicycle path with lighting (the path will run along the western bank of the San river in the Wójtostwo, Błonie and Olchowce districts), development of an adjacent square (including traffic town) and construction of a bicycle path of the single track type in the forest area of the Slony Mountains Landscape Park.

• Municipality of Sanok, Sanok county - PLN 5,077,566.88.

Rebuilding of the Community Chamber of Memory in Strachocin into the Center of Culture and Regional Tradition, as well as landscaping and multimedia and exhibition equipment.

Construction of a pedestrian and bicycle trail: Liszna-Tyrawa Solna with a length of 4.7 km, including 2.6 km reconstruction together with a rest area (shelter, tables, benches, baskets) and boards.

• Komańcza Commune, Sanocki County – PLN 340,418.47. Reconstruction of the road "at Barbarka" in Komańcza.

• Zarszyn commune, Sanocki county - PLN 2,149,883.00. 

Construction of a tourist bicycle path with service points for cyclists in Odrzechowa.

Construction of walking boulevards and a footbridge near water reservoirs in Bazanówka

Construction of walking paths and a parking lot in Pielnia

Construction of a water supply system in Pastwiska

Construction of tourist infrastructure, i.e. walking paths and a summerhouse in Nowosielce.

• Gmina Nowy Żmigród, Jasło County - PLN 1,909,728.85. Construction of open-access tourist infrastructure in the commune. The task involves building a viewing tower in the vicinity of the remains of the medieval fortress "Walik" in Brzezowa, modernizing access roads, the parking lot, construction of a tourist trail, and installing information boards.

• Municipality of Dydnia, brzozowski district - PLN 2,227,463.00. Expansion, reconstruction of municipal infrastructure necessary to provide and develop tourist services, improve safety of tourists and road users. Scope of investment: construction of sidewalks within voivodeship road in Niebocko, Jabłonka, Dydnia, Krzemienna and district road in Krzywe, construction of three bridges within the communal road in Krzemienna, Końskie and Witryłów, reconstruction of damaged surfaces of communal roads.

• Rymanów Commune, Krosno County - PLN 6,327,048.32. Development of generally available tourist infrastructure serving the development of spa tourism. The task includes: modernization, construction of bicycle and walking trails along with small infrastructure and signposting, creating parking spaces at tourist facilities, construction of street lighting for tourist facilities and the purchase of an ice rink, installation of photovoltaics and heat pumps at the swimming pool complex and construction of a parking lot for campers along with infrastructure in Rymanowo Zdrój.

• Municipality of Ustrzyki Dolne, Bieszczady county -  PLN 6,110,929.35. Creation of a tourist base to support the development of tourist services. The project involves the creation of a camping site and a viewing tower with downhill terraces in Ustrzyki Dolne, sports and recreation complex in Ustjanowa Górna and Bieszczady Centre of Active Tourism in Łobozewo. The subject of the investment is to build a public climbing wall in the Sports Hall in Ustrzyki Dolne together with purchase of necessary equipment.

• Municipality of Fredropol, Przemysl County - PLN 827,061.81. Construction of a sewage treatment plant in Darowice together with sewage transfer in Kupiatycze and, ultimately, connection of a sewage system from Darowice, Koniuszki, Kniażyce to the plant.

• Commune of Lutowiska, Bieszczady county - PLN 589,203.66. Modernization of existing public parking and road infrastructure. The planned investments include: the improvement of the parking lot surface on the Wyżna Pass in Brzegi Górne, making the surface of the parking lot next to the School Youth Hostel in Stuposiany and the surface of the road and parking lot next to the festival and recreation grounds in Lutowiska. The subject of the investment is the modernization of publicly accessible tourist infrastructure belonging to the commune of Lutowiska, located on nature and history paths, parking lots, viewpoints, in village centers, etc. Modernisation will concern small architecture, such as boards, shelters, benches, roofing, etc. The investment includes implementation of construction works (constructions) as well as development and creation of information carriers (e.g. inserts for boards etc.).

• Olszanica Commune, Lesko County - 2,360,000.00 "Active Tourism and Sports Center Bieszczad-ski" under construction.

• Gmina Tyrawa Wołoska, Sanocki County - 158 552,18 zł. Drawing up project documentation of the sanitary sewage system along with the sewage treatment plant in the Tyrawa Wołoska commune.

• Lesko Commune, Lesko County - PLN 4,164,006.33. Improving tourist and municipal infrastructure in order to streamline tourist traffic. Scope of the task: construction of parking lots for buses and cars, modernization of the bus station platforms, construction of a walking and bicycle path and viewing platform, restoration of the Lesko synagogue along with the reconstruction of adjacent streets, restoration of mineral springs, marking tourist attractions and making welcome signs, construction and modernization of street lighting.

• Gmina Osiek Jasielski, Jasielsk county - PLN 427,858.00. Modernization of 7 segments of communal roads providing convenient access to local tourist attractions: of length 1990 m (par. No. 1841, 1778, 1777/2, 1810, 1809) in Pielgrzymka, of length 41 m (par. 902) in Samoklęski and of length 145 m (par. No. 270) in Mrukowa. The scope of works includes: elaboration of technical documentation, obtaining permits, construction of aggregate sub-base and gravel road surface.

• Gmina Zagórz, Sanocki County - PLN 5,126,615.42. Construction of a 3 km long cycle path and a 1.2 km long road. A shelter equipped with accompanying infrastructure (benches, bicycle stand, basket) will be built along the cycle path.

• Jaśliska Commune, Krosno Countyand - PLN 834,000.00. Reconstruction of a public municipal road - plots no. 1453; 1455/1 with reconstruction of the sidewalk, construction of parking lots and development of plot of land no. 1454/2 by reconstruction of the sidewalk and construction of parking lots. Purchase of equipment for road and sidewalk maintenance. Modernization through marking of hiking trails along with creation of a mobile application containing a database of hiking trails.

Czarna Municipality, Bieszczadzki County - PLN 519,377.00. Improving the state of municipal infrastructure necessary for the development of tourism services indicated in the Development Strategy of g. Czarna for 1. 2015-2025 as a condition for tourism development. Assumes reconstruction of 2 roads leading to Orthodox churches included in Wooden Architecture Route and construction of sewage system. The task involves comprehensive reconstruction of historical and natural walking paths and Nordic Walking routes. It is planned to provide path markings, elements of small infrastructure, information boards, benches, bicycle racks, etc. This will increase the number of people using the trail. This will increase the number of people using the paths and improve the development of hiking tourism. The investment will make it possible to use the natural, cultural and historical values of the region and will improve its tourist attractiveness.
