Deputies at the international conference "Europe of the Carpathians" (message)

22.02. Warsaw - The Press Office of the Sejm Chancellery reports:

Parliamentary cooperation of the Carpathian countries and the 20th anniversary of the Carpathian Euroregion are just some of the topics of the international conference "Europe of the Carpathians", which will be held on February 23 this year in Krasiczyn near Przemysl.

Parliamentarians, local government officials, scientists, representatives of non-governmental organizations and the media from Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, among others, will meet for the sixth time to discuss strengthening cooperation between the countries of the Carpathian region. The conference is organized by the Carpathian Parliamentary Group, chaired by Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchcinski, and the Association of the Carpathian Euroregion Poland.

The "Europe of the Carpathians" conference series was launched in 2010. To date, sessions have been held in Krynica, Krasiczyn and Przemyśl in Poland and in Yaremcha in Ukraine, among others. The purpose of this initiative is to deepen cross-border regional cooperation, monitor progress in the implementation of the Carpathian Convention and build an international network of parliamentarians working for the sustainable development of the Carpathians.
