Legends of Podkarpacie enchanted in a comic book. Carpathian Europe opens up to young artists

During the conference Europe of the Carpathians in Krasiczyn (May 13-14) the authors of works selected by the Sejm and the Chancellery were awarded.

Competition "Legends of Podkarpacie" is part of the initiative Digital Carpathian Europe implemented by the Chancellery of the Sejm together with the GovTech Centre at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The aim of the competition is to develop digital competencies among young people, to interest them in gaining qualifications in computer graphics and to promote the culture of the Podkarpacie region. Parallel to the competition, a series of computer graphics workshops for schoolchildren is being held. All activities are aimed at secondary school students from all over Poland, of which there are more than 1.5 million.

Digitalization has reached almost every area of life. And that's lucky! Without it, it would be hard to imagine the last months, when we were fighting a pandemic and when students were forced to learn online. We want to move with the times and respond to the challenges that the modern world throws at us. We've had quite a few competitions for paintings and comic books in Podkarpacie, it's time to enter the digital level. Supporting creativity and encouraging young people to develop their artistic passions is particularly important. Both editions of the competition met with great interest. - Marek Kuchciński - Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm
