Marek KuchcińskiIn the 1980s. He organized the environment of Independent Culture in Przemyśl..

Co-organizer Days of Christian Culture (beyond censorship) in Przemyśl and international Art exhibitions "Man - God - World" - 1983-89 r. (Beyond Censorship).

In the 1980s. He was also active in the independent peasant movement - Among other things, he was a member of the All-Poland Farmers' Resistance Committee. Arrested in 1985 for opposition activities.

Co-founder of the Civic Committee "Solidarity" in the Przemysl Province (Member of the "S" National Civic Committee under Lech Wałęsa (1990-92). Member of the Centre Agreement (1990-1999).

President Przemysl Cultural SocietyHe is the publisher of, among others, the quarterly "Spojrzenia Przemyskie" ("Gazes of Przemysl").

Vice President of the Rzeszow Branch of the Association of Polish Journalists. Vice-chairman, and later chairman, of the Radio Rzeszów Programme Council.

Councillor of the Town Council of Przemyśl (1994-1999).

Podkarpackie Deputy Governor (1999-2001).

Since 2001 Member of the Polish Parliament on behalf of Law and Justice.

In the Sejm of the 4th term, 2001-2005 - Member (until 24.04.04 and since 23.07.04) of the Parliamentary Environment Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry Committee and (until 14.02.03) of the Parliamentary National and Ethnic Minorities Committee. Since 14.02.03 he has been a member of the Parliamentary Commission for Local Self-Government and Regional Policy. On 7.10.2004 he was chosen to be the deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Local Self-Government and Regional Policy.

In the Sejm of the 5th term, 2005-2007 - Since 09.11.2005 Chairman of the Parliamentary Administration and Internal Affairs Committee, since 24.03.2006 member of the Parliamentary Liaison Committee with Poles Abroad.

In the Sejm of the 6th term, lasting since 2007 - Since 15.11.2007 Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry, 4.08.2010 elected Deputy Speaker of the Sejm.

In the Sejm of the 7th term, lasting since 2011 - 8.11.2011 elected Deputy Speaker of the Sejm. 

Vice-Chair of the Parliamentary Delegation Member of the Polish-Ukrainian Parliamentary Assembly and Vice-Chairman of the Polish-Ukrainian Parliamentary Group, member of the Polish-Slovak Parliamentary Group.

In 2005 it is And vice-chairman of the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club, 19.07.2006 elected chairman of the Law and Justice party. Since 2007 - again 1st Vice President of the Club.

He is a member of parliamentary substantive teams: Carpathian Rescue and Mountain and Water Rescue.

In the Law and Justice party: in Podkarpacie - Regional representative (2001), vice-president (2002-2004), then president of the Regional Board, currently - president of the District Board No 22 Krosno and chairman of the Regional Council (voivodship). In Poland - member of the Political Committee, the Main Board and the Political Council, vice-president of the party. He is involved, among others, in eastern affairs.

Throughout, the author of many concepts. Among others, "Report on Polish-Ukrainian transboundary cooperation in 1990-1998". Co-initiator and co-author of the "Green Carpathians" programme, which assumed broad development of the Carpathians, including the Polish Carpathians. Initiator of the Operational Programme "Development of Eastern Poland". Advocate for using the location of Podkarpackie to increase its development and position in the country through cross-border cooperation with Ukraine and Slovakia. Co-initiator of the creation of a special EU programme for the Carpathians in 2014-2020.

He has published in Polish and foreign magazines. He was awarded, among others, the award of the Polish Radio and Television in Rzeszów (1990) and the award of the Governor of Przemyśl for achievements in the field of culture (1998). He received the "Nowiny" Laurel in the category politician of the year 2003.
